This showdown is comprised of the top performing engineering sales professionals within the ID major at TAMU, making it perfect for (1) company exposure, (2) recruiting the best of the best engineering salesperson for jobs and internships, and (3) access to the biggest industrial distribution sales competition in the world.
We have over 200 students participating in the TIES Sales Showdown this semester and are capping the number of industry partners at 25. We would love to have you as one of those 25 companies! If you’re hiring even just a few salespeople in the next year or two, this is an event you can’t afford to miss!

This event brings together the strongest operations and supply chain thinkers from Texas A&M's Industrial Distribution program, offering an ideal platform for (1) showcasing your brand to standout talent, (2) identifying and recruiting top-tier candidates for operations, logistics, and supply chain roles or internships, and (3) engaging with one of the leading university-level challenges in real-world operations execution.
With more than 200 students expected to compete this semester through 50–60 initial teams, the TIES Operations Competition progresses from a fast-paced knowledge exam to in-depth case presentations and concludes with an intense, live warehouse simulation featuring dynamic disruptions. Ryan Thill
Head of Sponsorship Sales
Ryan is a Texas A&M Junior Industrial Distribution major (graduating May 2027) passionate about automation outside sales, blending technical and business skills through extra coursework, a top-3 finish in the TIES Sales Showdown, co-authoring a published Industry 5.0 article, leading a major company website redesign, and co-launching SEED while staying active in PAID, Baja SAE, and other student organizations.
Tito Resto
Corporate Relations Officer
Tito Resto is a Texas A&M Industrial Distribution student with a strong interest in technical sales and supply chain operations. He has developed his skills through experience as an IDIS 330 Sales Lab Student Coach, a top-5 finisher in the TIES Sales Showdown, and a Supply Chain Intern at UTMB. Tito also demonstrates leadership as a Corporate Relations Officer for SEED and a member of the executive board for Delta Tau Delta, combining sales, operations, and relationship management to drive value in team and organizational settings.
