More about me

Howdy! I’m Adhav Rajkumar, an Industrial Distribution student at Texas A&M University with a passion for sales, leadership, and building things that create real impact.

My experience is deeply rooted in SEED and TIES, where I focus on building and scaling real world learning environments rather than just participating in them. Within TIES Sales, I’ve played a key role in backend operations/managing logistics, troubleshooting issues in real time, and ensuring the competition runs smoothly end to end. I’ve learned how to operate under pressure, solve problems quickly, and keep complex systems moving without disruption. Beyond that, I was a co-founder of the TIES Operations & Logistics Competition, where I worked alongside a small team to turn a concept into a fully executed event. This experience pushed me to think strategically about structure, scalability, and long term impact. Through SEED, I’ve helped expand these opportunities for students, contributing to an environment focused on professionalism, growth, and hands on experience.

I’ve also taken on a coaching role, working directly with students to develop their sales skills. Notably, I helped coach a competitor who went on to win the Toledo competition, along with several others who won or placed highly at the TIES Sales competition. These experiences strengthened my ability to mentor talent and translate strategy into measurable results through others.

In addition to SEED and TIES, I bring leadership experience as the previous Business Director of Texas A&M’s Solar Car Team, where I led sponsorship efforts that raised over $120,000. This helped a first year team achieve a top 10 national finish and earn recognition as one of the best performing rookie teams. I’ve also participated in fast paced innovation environments like Aggies Invent, further strengthening my ability to collaborate and execute under tight timelines.

Outside of school, I serve as a manager at a family owned Asian restaurant, 麦山云 (Mai Shan Yun), where I oversee operations, staff coordination, and customer experience. This role has given me a hands-on understanding of running a business balancing people, performance, and problem solving in a fast moving environment.

I’m someone who takes initiative, adapts quickly, and thrives in roles where I can both execute and build. I take pride in being someone people can rely on to solve problems, lead teams, and deliver results.

Long term, I aim to build a strong foundation in technology or energy sales, grow into a leadership role, and eventually start my own company. I’m driven by the opportunity to create, lead, and make a lasting impact through both business and innovation.
